Thailand Day 4
Day 4ππππ Instead of gold, it's elephants this time. So many elephants! We got to go on a tour outside of the city at an elephant park. At the elephant park there were about 5 elephants that we got to see. I rode the biggest and fastest one there. The elephant that I rode had just been shipped in a week ago from a logging company that had used the elephant for labor. We got to make the elephants' food and feed him bananas, sugar cane, pineapple, tamarind, etc. The fruits were a snack. Most of their food is grass. We fed them by placing a banana or other fruit into the curled end of their trunk. One elephant didn't like using his trunk so we put it in his mouth. When we held up their vitamins in our hands they sucked it up from our hands like a vacuum with their trunks and then shot it into their mouths. Fun fact: did you know that elephants can eat 16 hours a day straight. Also fun fact: They eat 10 percent of their weight in a day. We also got to ride on them in the river. the one that i was on was super high so at first it seemed super low because i was getting on to it when it was leaning down but once he stood up it was very high and i was kind of anxious that i would fall off. Up on top there was a lot of dirt because he covered himself in mud very often. He covered himself in dirt to keep the bugs off. on top, i sat on his back and i held onto the rope around his neck. sometimes i laid down on the elephant. After we walked the elephants around a little so that they could eat, we went into the river so that they could eat on the other side of the river. after that they laid down in the river and we got to wash them off.
We went to a restaurant where they had already ordered and there were like 8 dishes, enough to feed 6 people. On the ride home we went and saw a tiger refuge where there were tigers but our camera storage was out so we couldn't take any pictures. Then we came home and rested. I've gotten used to the bug bites and the humid air now.ππ

Thailand Day 3
day 3πππ
We had a great breakfast and then went to the air port. The plane was only 1 hour to Chiang Mai from the capitol. Here it is less hot then the capitol.π also there is less mosquitoes. π After the plane ride, we got to go on a walk around and look at the city's river and a few other shops.
We found some coffee and rice from Chiang Mai to bring home. We went in the pool afterwards.
We played a game where one person held the other person on top of the water and then when they were the most peaceful, they got flipped over. Then later we went out and had dinner at "spy" restaurant with a cute little baby. After dinner we walked to a night market and looked at cool things like the dragons I got for my brother and me.
The market surprised me because it had so many kinds of art that people we making right there.
